We are looking for a Technical Lead Software Engineer with technical leadership experience working with all service aspects of high-throughput and multi-tenant services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability. This role will focus on working on tough problems with high-impact expectations as a result of individual effort as well as working across the organization as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers to design and deliver solutions to improve security services globally, improving efficiency while factoring in reliability, scalability, and latency considerations.
  • Establish policies and procedures for developing extensible, reusable, and maintainable code, identifying and addressing coding issues, and conducting effective code reviews for critical spaces such as those with deep technical domain connections or broad product/service sets at critical junctures. Write proof-of-concept code as needed and may develop code directly as needed. Ensure troubleshooting guidelines are effective by establishing communication channels and reviewing relevant data. Actively engage in troubleshooting difficult and complex issues. Guide others and provide technical leadership on identifying root causes of problems and effectively addressing them. Ensure the code review process meets strategic needs and better aligns talent needs in long-term product evolution. Create processes to connect code review with talent team development. Actively review or sign off on code as needed.
  • Partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements for scenarios. Leverage feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes. Lead incorporation of continuous feedback loops measuring customer value, usage patterns, and actionable metrics.
  • Lead by example and mentor others to produce extensible and maintainable code used across products. Lead efforts to optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment. Identify best practices and coding patterns and provide expertise in coding and validation strategy. Create and apply metrics to drive code quality and stability, as well as coding patterns and best practices.
  • Lead creation of implementation frameworks following industry standards. Implement and deploy solutions within existing frameworks. Hold accountability for build deployments impacting users and other services. Optimize deployments within products and components to meet differing business objectives. Ensure solutions are deployed safely.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Benefits and Compensation: The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $137,600 - $267,000 per year, with a different range applicable to specific work locations. Certain roles may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
