About the Role:

Komatsu is a global leader in mine management technology, and we're seeking an experienced AHS Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Product Development team, you will be responsible for crafting innovative solutions to unique and challenging problems.

Working with our partners around the world, you will help design and support the next generation of mine planning and optimization technology and build the future platforms and infrastructure that will drive the changes in the mining industry for generations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing and maintaining high-quality, tested, and efficient code, following industry standards.
  • Developing proof of concepts for new, innovative solutions.
  • Performing analysis, estimating work, creating, and updating software architecture and design.
  • Understanding Modular applications domain and proactively interacting with product teams to improve functional and nonfunctional aspects of platform components.
  • Providing technical oversight to development teams and contractors in subject areas.

Requirements:

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 2 years of server-side/backend application development experience.
  • Good coding skills in Java or another OOP language.
  • Good understanding of design patterns, multithreading, and distributed systems.
  • Good understanding of techniques for performance optimization, such as memory profiling, database query optimization, load testing, concurrency management, algorithm optimization, network, and I/O optimization, performance monitoring.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and IAM.
  • Experience in Linux and Shell Scripting.
  • Good understanding of software architecture and systems design.
  • Good understanding of Automation for CI/CD, environment provisioning, and testing.
  • Good understanding of databases modeling and ORM frameworks.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to details.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
