Job SummaryThe Associate Director of Placement and Financial Services will play a pivotal role in leading our Business & Employment team, focusing on job development, placement, and retention. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of job developers, employment coaches, and volunteers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing placement metrics, managing relationships with employers and financial service providers, and ensuring smooth integration between our Financial Services Center and Employment Team.
This dynamic leader will also oversee outreach and engagement efforts with businesses and employers, creating productive and positive relationships that lead to living-wage job opportunities for our participants. Key responsibilities include coordinating services, managing referrals, and tracking employer outcomes on CalJOBS and Salesforce. Experience managing a team of highly functional, independent thinkers who work collaboratively to support local residents secure employment is essential.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in providing job development, staffing, or business services in for-profit or non-profit organizations. A minimum of three years' supervision and management experience, preferably in non-profit workforce development and human services, is required. Prior knowledge of community resources and services available to participants, as well as experience working with vulnerable populations, is highly valued.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and manage the Business & Employment team, including job developers, employment coaches, and volunteers
- Develop and implement placement metrics for all personnel responsible for placement
- Manage relationships with employers and financial service providers to improve employability and economic growth
- Coordinate services, manage referrals, and track employer outcomes on CalJOBS and Salesforce
- Oversee outreach and engagement efforts with businesses and employers to create living-wage job opportunities
- Experience managing a team of highly functional, independent thinkers who work collaboratively to support local residents secure employment
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in providing job development, staffing, or business services in for-profit or non-profit organizations
- Minimum three years' supervision and management experience, preferably in non-profit workforce development and human services
- Prior knowledge of community resources and services available to participants
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as veterans, ex-offenders, individuals with disabilities, homeless individuals, and English language learners
