Job Summary

The Lead Crisis Recovery Advocate is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include providing intervention techniques and support to individuals in crisis residential programs. The successful candidate will provide the appropriate intervention, level of support, and supervision to support the goals of the individuals served, ensuring their optimal health and safety and assisting them to become integrated into their communities and/or the least restrictive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to staff on shift, including mentoring, promoting positive morale, scheduling support, and ensuring compliance with all regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Respond to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and follow procedures to protect individuals from harm.
  • Implement Hope Network Safety Plans and Procedures to ensure the safety of individuals at all times, including emergency situations.
  • Develop and implement Person-Centered Approaches/Individualized Service Plans for each individual served.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and external stakeholders to establish collaborative relationships.
  • Promote the health and wellness of individuals in areas of physical, spiritual, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Assist with intake and discharge processes, including working with referral sources and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Participate in crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution techniques, and intervene in crisis situations as needed.
  • Document routine and unexpected incidents related to the care of individuals served, following Hope Network procedures and requirements.
  • Assist individuals in identifying and accessing activities of interest, including facilitating recreational activities and psychoeducational groups.
  • Act as an informal advocate for individuals, supporting them in leading self-determining lives and making informed decisions.
  • Recognize and respect the role of family and social relationships in the quality of life and community living success for individuals served.
  • Perform tasks necessary to the efficient operation of the facility, including maintaining cleanliness, laundry, meal preparation, and managing work areas.
  • Maintain a safe work environment, monitoring for potential safety concerns and meeting MIOSHA Safety Standards and MSDS requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, preferred (driver's license may be required on some shifts).
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts, including every other weekend.
  • Empathy for individuals served, with the ability to demonstrate sympathy and understanding when needed.
  • Attention to detail when interacting with individuals, passing medications, and completing documentation.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, responding to medical and behavioral issues in a respectful manner or consistent with treatment plans.
  • Ability to take initiative and action to respond, resolve, and report or follow-up regarding service/treatment concerns.
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team, demonstrating respect for cultural differences.
