We are seeking a Licensed Social Worker to join our Mobile Crisis Team at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.
About the Role:As a Licensed Social Worker in our Mobile Crisis Unit, you will provide professional casework services to patients and family members with social and or personal problems related to their illness, hospitalization, and integration into the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide supportive therapy, case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress with respect to treatment goals.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental illness.
- NYS Social Work licensure required (LMSW; LCSW).
- Master's degree in social work required.
- Crisis intervention and short-term counseling skills.
- Understanding of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
- Knowledge of community-based organizations and resources for discharge planning.
- Superb written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to learn.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
