Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our clinical quality improvement team, you will be responsible for promoting learning in others, building relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, and facilitating team collaboration to support business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and healthcare quality. This includes conducting data extraction, analysis, and presentations to support quality improvement efforts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, including accreditation, regulatory, and licensing requirements. This includes participating in committees and projects to propose courses of action on policy development and auditing processes.
  • Stakeholder Development: Deliver stakeholder development and quality performance review efforts, including conducting utilization and performance reviews, identifying performance areas for improvement, and providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Facilitate quality improvement and improvement risk management efforts, including conducting root cause analysis, failure mode and effect analysis, and other assessments to identify areas of improvement.
  • Metrics Development: Develop and utilize quality improvement performance metrics, including collaborating with stakeholders to ensure development of cohesive and reachable metrics.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum one year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.
  • Quality Improvement Experience: Minimum two years of experience with databases and spreadsheets or continuous quality improvement tools.
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum three years of experience in a clinical setting, healthcare administration, or a directly related field.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field, or equivalent experience.
