Senior Soils Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Soils Laboratory Technician to join our team at ECS Southwest, LLP. As a key member of our Construction Materials Testing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our construction materials.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex laboratory testing on construction materials, including soils and concrete, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and demonstration of testing procedures, as well as train and mentor junior lab technicians.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests, including Atterberg limits, gradation analyses, and moisture content testing, to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Collect and analyze data, preparing reports and summaries as needed, and maintain accurate records of laboratory activities.
- Collaborate with experienced professionals to develop and implement new testing procedures and methodologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in laboratory testing, with a focus on soils and concrete.
- Must be certified in laboratory testing and have a strong understanding of ASTM and other industry standards.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.
