We are seeking a skilled Materials Technician to join our team at Texas Research International. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests of materials, including concrete, soil, aggregate, and geosynthetics. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment will be essential in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory in compliance with QA/QC initiatives and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare samples for testing.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the laboratory manager, team, and clients.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction testing/inspection of concrete, soil, asphalt, and/or masonry materials.
  • Basic math, calculator, and computer skills required.
  • Current forklift certification preferred, past certification acceptable given experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to kneel and squat frequently.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Work Environment

This position is located in Austin, TX. Only residents of Austin and surrounding areas need apply.
