Railcar Repair Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Railcar Repair Technician to join our team at Rescar Companies. As a Railcar Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn components on railcar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
  • Diagnose and identify malfunctions in railcar equipment
  • Clean and test railcar units and components
  • Ensure proper operation of railcar equipment
Requirements:
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical repair
  • Previous mechanic experience desired
  • Familiarity with welding a plus
