We are seeking a skilled Railcar Repair Technician to join our team at Rescar Companies. As a Railcar Repair Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn components on railcar equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and repair railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
- Diagnose and identify malfunctions in railcar equipment
- Clean and test railcar units and components
- Ensure proper operation of railcar equipment
- Good work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience with hand tools and mechanical repair
- Previous mechanic experience desired
- Familiarity with welding a plus
- Competitive base wages, starting at up to $24/hour, commiserate with experience
- Opportunity to increase your base wage through skills assessments and certifications
- Weekly pay
