Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and repair railcar equipment, including truck assembly, safety appliances, brake systems, wheels, and draft systems
  • Diagnose and identify malfunctions, ensuring safe and efficient operation
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Clean units and components, maintaining a high level of quality and safety
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of railcar equipment
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to quality
  • Experience with hand tools and mechanical repair
  • Previous mechanic experience desired, but not required
  • Familiarity with welding a plus
