Role Overview:
The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes within the organization. This includes reviewing daily reports related to acquired products and taking necessary actions to ensure inventory levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze daily purchasing reports and update the inventory management system as required.
- Participate in meetings for new product introductions, particularly for consumables and essential materials.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of product lines to effectively meet organizational needs.
- Employ problem-solving strategies to address inquiries from customers and suppliers while ensuring cost efficiency.
- Manage product-related complaints and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers for resolution.
- Document vendor discrepancies through Vendor Error Reports (VER) and manage returns or adjustments with suppliers.
- Maintain and update supplier records, including pricing changes, in the inventory system.
- Order product samples and informational materials to support the sales team.
- Organize and maintain purchasing documentation, including purchase orders and acknowledgments.
- Prepare quotations for stock items and assist in sourcing non-stock items as needed.
- Establish inventory item numbers for new products and set appropriate inventory thresholds.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.

Additional Duties:
- Recommend suitable packaging solutions for products.
- Prepare cost analyses to justify new pricing proposals.
- Communicate professionally with colleagues and suppliers.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and utilize personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned.
