Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is in search of a Senior Program Analyst specializing in acquisition lifecycle logistics to provide essential support for a pivotal Air Force initiative. This role is crucial in assisting the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).

The primary goal is to deliver specialized knowledge that enhances the organization's capabilities for successful mission execution, fosters innovation, and improves technical proficiency. The contractor will engage in comprehensive acquisition and sustainment activities to support various Government entities.

This position allows for telework, with an expectation of on-site presence approximately four days a week, subject to mission demands. An active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility is mandatory.

The SAF/AQD, under the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Logistics and Product Support, oversees all aspects related to product support, supply chain management, and the maintenance of military materials. This includes ensuring the operational readiness of weapon systems and interfacing with Congress, OSD, and other military branches regarding product support programs.

The Senior Program Analyst must possess in-depth knowledge of the DoD acquisition lifecycle, project management, and research analysis. Experience in product support, logistics planning, acquisition, and sustainment programs is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organizing and evaluating files, reports, and other documentation using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of procedures and best practices related to product support and logistics.
  • Preparing briefings, reports, and responses for senior DAF and DoD officials.
  • Contributing to the review and dissemination of Air Force policies across various functional areas.
  • Analyzing requirements and acquisition strategies, providing informed recommendations.
  • Offering unbiased assessments of programs nearing milestone decisions and reviewing key program documentation.
  • Investigating logistics trends and proposing solutions to identified challenges.
  • Supporting the preparation of documentation for legislative hearings and ensuring a cohesive Air Force stance on inquiries.
  • Assisting in the review process involving various oversight bodies and collaborating with auditors.
  • Managing confidential and classified information responsibly.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
Qualifications
  • Active TS Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Master's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of acquisition experience within a System Program Office or Air Force Headquarters.
  • Strong understanding of DoD protocols.
  • Proven expertise in project management, research analysis, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for degree requirements as per contract specifications.
Work Experience Substitutions:
12 years of relevant experience may replace a Master's degree.
A Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may also substitute for a Master's degree.
