Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC and Orlando, FL offices. As a senior mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for designing thermal infrastructure systems and collaborating with a team of engineers on various projects. You will work closely with structural, civil, electrical, and other disciplines to provide full-range services to our clients.
Responsibilities- Prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Design thermal distribution systems, campus master planning, district, and central utility plant design, building conversion design, and condition assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, of all project work.
- Develop and implement standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications.
- Act as Engineer of Record.
- Provide on-the-spot advice and decisions on technical and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Interface with code officials and contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineers license.
- 15+ years of technical experience in the design of thermal distribution systems, central utility plants, and/or building mechanical systems.
- Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and/or drafting is a plus.
- Experience in pipe stress modeling is a plus.
- Self-motivated and well-organized.
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
