Position Summary

We are in search of a seasoned and proactive Senior Account Executive to enhance our Insurance Sales division. In this role, you will focus on promoting subscriptions for Nearmap's enterprise SaaS platform tailored for the insurance sector, targeting leading property insurance carriers across personal and commercial lines. Your mission will be to strategically uncover new growth avenues while engaging with untapped insurance accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed sales objectives.
  • Develop a targeted Insurance strategy with clear, measurable goals.
  • Initiate and cultivate new business relationships through effective prospecting.
  • Identify and streamline purchasing processes within current and prospective accounts.
  • Create comprehensive account plans for major clients, including influence mapping and strategic documentation.
  • Align your prospect influences with our executive team, leveraging relationships effectively.
  • Articulate and convey the company's value proposition, technology, and partnerships.
  • Map customer internal processes throughout the sales cycle, collaborating with internal teams to customize solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with leads and prospects throughout extended sales cycles.
  • Travel as necessary to meet with prospects, potentially up to 30-50% of the time.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in reporting, forecasting, and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive customer data in Salesforce, including customer and opportunity details.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a sales capacity with a proven history of closing enterprise-level deals.
  • Demonstrated B2B SaaS sales experience within the property and casualty insurance sector.
  • Extensive experience in generating new business and closing tier 1 accounts.
  • Proven track record in strategic solution selling.
  • High proficiency in CRM data management, preferably Salesforce.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with a strong drive to close deals.
  • Deep understanding of the insurance industry, with experience engaging C-suite executives.
  • Ability to coach and negotiate at all levels, from renewals to complex sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding presentation abilities, including value-based selling and a structured market approach.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant business field or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel 30-50% as required.
