The CFO role is pivotal as we transition leadership after 27 years of dedicated service. Element Care is strategically positioned for future growth, backed by a committed workforce and robust programs. The new CFO will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the organization while expanding our outreach.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Financial Officer is a prominent leadership role requiring a seasoned professional with a successful track record in healthcare finance. The CFO will oversee the financial operations of a dynamic organization facing diverse administrative and operational challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the financial landscape and strategic trajectory of Element Care.
As a strategic ally to the CEO and Executive Leadership team, the CFO will ensure Element Care is well-equipped to thrive in a fluctuating economic environment. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing short and long-term financial strategies.
- Organizing and executing policies related to fiscal matters.
- Contributing to company-wide strategic initiatives.
- Providing financial insights to the CEO, COO, and Board of Directors.
The CFO will lead a team of 32 professionals across various functions, including Accounting & Reporting, Claims Processing & Analytics, Contracting & Legal/Compliance, Facilities, and Plan Eligibility.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- CPA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 10 years of executive leadership experience in healthcare finance, ideally within the non-profit sector.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Proven financial acumen, strategic thinking, and team management skills.
- Experience with both provider and payer sides of healthcare is advantageous.
- Experience with PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a significant plus.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems is essential.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative, strategic financial leader with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. They will possess strong analytical abilities and a deep understanding of financial principles, coupled with a vision for the future of the organization.
This position will initially require onsite presence, with the potential for a hybrid work model.
