The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing kitchen personnel, supervising culinary activities, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will also be responsible for estimating food consumption, requisitioning and purchasing food, and developing recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Train and develop kitchen personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional food experiences.
- Supervise and coordinate all culinary activities to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.
- Culinary Operations
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to ensure adequate supplies.
- Develop and standardize production recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards for all menu items.
- Food Safety and Quality
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance to prevent food safety issues.
- Implement and maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related position, preferably in a senior management role.
- 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience.
- Culinary degree preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
- Experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems.
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills.
