Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Manufacturing Management: Responsible for the diagnostic kit assembly, kitting, cards production process, conjugation, buffer formulation and ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of production technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Process Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Technical Support: Perform routine benchwork to support manufacturing objectives per production schedule.
  • Collaboration: Provide technical and hands-on support on immunoassays and biochemistry practices such as lateral flow production, conjugations and solution formulations to manufacturing personnel.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to implement process enhancements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, ISO) and company quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Quality Assurance: Lead investigations into quality issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate with materials management and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Inventory Control: Participate in inventory control processes, including cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and optimization of inventory levels to support production schedules.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
  • Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety, environmental sustainability, and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety training sessions for production staff.
  • Workplace Safety: Implement measures to mitigate workplace hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing supervision within the medical device or diagnostics industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills and Abilities
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and regulatory requirements (e.g., USDA, ISO, FDA).
