We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at OneHeart Medical Staffing.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and emergency care as needed.
- Operate, maintain, and manage related equipment, including mechanical ventilators, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Transport patients within the facility, as staffing allows, to ensure timely and efficient care.
- Collect and analyze blood gas samples to inform patient treatment plans.
- Sample blood from invasive cardiovascular lines to monitor patient condition.
- Manage artificial airways and administer aerosolized medications to patients.
- Provide oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, and continuous positive airway pressure therapy (CPAP) as prescribed.
- Conduct pulmonary function testing, including bedside and diagnostic lab assessments.
- Administer incentive spirometry and chest physiotherapy to promote patient recovery.
- Assess patient condition and provide education on disease management and self-care.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain equipment according to department policy and perform quality control checks.
- Participate in the department's Quality Assurance Program and in-service education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification preferred.
- At least one year of work history as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
