About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at OneHeart Medical Staffing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cardio-pulmonary resuscitation and emergency care as needed.
  • Operate, maintain, and manage related equipment, including mechanical ventilators, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Transport patients within the facility, as staffing allows, to ensure timely and efficient care.
  • Collect and analyze blood gas samples to inform patient treatment plans.
  • Sample blood from invasive cardiovascular lines to monitor patient condition.
  • Manage artificial airways and administer aerosolized medications to patients.
  • Provide oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, and continuous positive airway pressure therapy (CPAP) as prescribed.
  • Conduct pulmonary function testing, including bedside and diagnostic lab assessments.
  • Administer incentive spirometry and chest physiotherapy to promote patient recovery.
  • Assess patient condition and provide education on disease management and self-care.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain equipment according to department policy and perform quality control checks.
  • Participate in the department's Quality Assurance Program and in-service education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certification preferred.
  • At least one year of work history as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
