Job Summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a skilled Neurological Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive neurological rehab services to adults and children. Your expertise will help patients regain functional capabilities and independence through a continuum of care in their natural home and community environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and set measurable objectives and goals in conjunction with the rehabilitation team.
  • Provide empirically based psychological interventions to patients and families to maximize their participation in the community.
  • Design community reintegration activities to assist patients with their psychological and cognitive needs during physical activity.
  • Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, family members, and others as applicable.
  • Consult with medical providers regarding patient evaluation and treatment, progress, and discharge from treatment.
  • Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation in the required format and timelines.

Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a counseling-related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state of practice.
  • A minimum of one year of post-master's degree clinical experience and counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions.
  • Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques.
  • Effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to/from multiple assignments/locations on a daily basis.
