Overview: We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Specialist with a strong background in procurement to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive procurement support across various departments, including the analysis of procurement data such as internal budgets, supplier budgets, and market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including MRL, Procurement, and Finance, to align on business objectives and drive sourcing initiatives.
  • Assist in the execution and management of contracts, ensuring compliance and effective supplier relationships.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Willingness to learn procurement processes and business strategies to meet the company's sourcing needs.
  • Experience in evaluating budgets, analyzing supplier proposals, and interpreting internal data, with familiarity in Ariba SOURCING.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word; prior experience in procurement roles is advantageous.

Primary Duties:

Sourcing Management

  • Assist in the development and execution of RFIs (Request for Information) and RFPs (Request for Proposals).
  • Support supplier negotiations to achieve optimal business outcomes.

Contract Negotiation and Management

  • Learn to negotiate contract terms and conditions effectively.
  • Prepare necessary contract documentation for internal review and approval.

Stakeholder Engagement and Category Support

  • Escalate issues and concerns to procurement management and relevant functional areas as needed.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of category strategies.

Education: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical research, or procurement/supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SAP/Ariba systems.
