Job Title: Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Caregiver, Inc. in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide direct support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, promoting their independence, dignity, and well-being. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dining, and housekeeping.
  • Provide support and training to individuals in various activities, such as social skills, community access, and mobility.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to company policy.
  • Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy environment for individuals.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of individualized support plans.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the well-being and quality of life for individuals.
Requirements:
  • A high school education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record are preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Satisfactory completion of background checks and any other post-offer, pre-employment screenings as required.
