Job Summary
The Host is the face of our restaurant, responsible for welcoming guests, seating them, and providing directions as needed. This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor to ensure a positive experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and seat them in a timely manner
- Communicate with guests regarding wait times, table availability, and party size
- Manage the seating chart and restaurant floor to ensure fair allocation of tables
- Assist with clearing and resetting tables as needed
- Thank guests upon departure
- Participate in daily cleaning operations
- Maintain a neat and orderly station
- Check menus for cleanliness and sanitize after use
- Ensure lounge menus are current and up-to-date
- Adhere to hotel standards, policies, and procedures
Requirements
- Must be over 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior guest service experience preferred
- TIPS Certification preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
The Host will work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, walk on slippery and uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 pounds individually or with assistance.
