Job Summary

The Culinary Specialist plays a vital role in the success of our culinary team at Limelight Hotels. This position is responsible for assisting with station assignments, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and preparing hot and cold foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain kitchen stations to the Chef de Cuisine's specifications
  • Cook food to order, adhering to quality and presentation standards
  • Assist with sauté, grill, and roasting stations as needed
  • Help organize kitchen items, including dry goods, equipment, storage containers, cleaning supplies, and food deliveries
  • Maintain station cleanliness throughout the shift
  • Submit production needs for the following day by shift end
Requirements
  • Culinary degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of food preparation experience preferred
  • Simple sauce and dressing knowledge preferred
  • ServSafe or similar food safety course certification preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly work in wet, hot, and humid conditions, and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
