We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Japanese language and culture programs at Lyceum Kennedy. This role oversees the Preschool Weekday Program and the Saturday Lower & Middle School Programs, ensuring a seamless experience for families, faculty, and staff.

Program Growth and Excellence

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to recruit and retain students. They will analyze and report on enrollment trends, providing actionable insights to improve retention. Additionally, they will plan and host admissions events, including open houses and orientation sessions.

This includes overseeing the entire admissions process, from initial contact to student onboarding, as well as collaborating with the Head of School to set and achieve enrollment targets.

Community Engagement and Partnerships

The ideal candidate will establish and nurture relationships with schools, cultural organizations, and community groups. They will represent the program at conferences, workshops, and community events to enhance visibility and engagement. Furthermore, they will partner with stakeholders to organize events, workshops, and cultural activities that promote Japanese language and culture.

Program Development and Management

The Lead Japanese Language and Culture Program Manager will design, implement, and evaluate innovative Japanese language and cultural programs that meet the needs of diverse learners. They will develop dynamic curricula, lesson plans, and educational materials aligned with best practices and educational standards. Regularly assessing and improving program quality is also crucial to ensure educational excellence.

Leadership and Staff Supervision

This role requires recruiting, training, and supervising instructors and administrative staff. The successful candidate will promote a collaborative, inclusive, and professional work environment. They will conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship and support to team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in education, Japanese Studies, or a related field (a Master's degree is preferred). Fluency in Japanese and English, along with a deep understanding of Japanese language and culture, is essential. Proven experience in program management, curriculum development, and team leadership is also required. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges between $80,000 and $90,000, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include private medical premium partially covered, vision, dental, 401K retirement plan, commuter benefits, and the Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
