Job SummaryWe are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team at DaVita. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and supporting our clinical team. This is an exciting opportunity to jumpstart your career in the healthcare industry and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment
- Perform technician duties, such as setting up hemodialysis machines and monitoring patient statistics
- Build long-term relationships with patients and educate them on kidney dialysis-related topics
- Work collaboratively with a cross-functional team of clinicians, including nurses, dietitians, and social workers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Desire to enter the healthcare field and care for others
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working around blood and needles
- Ability to mix acid or bicarb
