Position Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Inventory Lead, this role is essential in maintaining precise stock levels at our Lake Union location, ensuring we deliver consistent service to our customers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting inventory counts both inside and outside, adhering to established timelines.
  • Addressing inventory discrepancies and communicating findings to management.
  • Performing stock checks as requested by other locations.
  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies.
  • Organizing vendor credit notes, including tagging and staging.
  • Managing cull piles for credit or disposal.
  • Assisting in ordering materials for the store.
  • Updating signage, stack outs, and end caps as necessary.
  • Completing other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • No specific educational background required.
  • Previous experience with Dunn Lumber is preferred but not mandatory.
  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • No specific certifications or licenses required.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary; familiarity with Ten Key is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary but may require occasional lifting or moving of items weighing up to 5 pounds.

Additional Information

This entry-level position includes a paid two-week training period, with ongoing learning opportunities throughout employment. Training will take place on-site with a supervisor or at a designated training facility, focusing on product knowledge, point-of-sale software, and operational procedures.

The work environment is active, requiring employees to be on their feet for most of the shift, with a moderate to loud noise level.
