Core Responsibilities:

Deliver exceptional member service while engaging in various roles, including transaction processing, lending, and account management. The Financial Services Representative (FSR) will ensure member satisfaction by executing precise transactions, actively listening, educating, and identifying members' needs. The FSR will promote all products and services that align with those needs to effectively support the member and contribute to the growth of the credit union.

The FSR role demands meticulous attention to detail, strong interpersonal abilities, teamwork, and a fundamental understanding of navigating various software applications and the internet. Confidentiality and professionalism must be upheld in all service interactions.

Key Duties:

1) Embody the credit union's core values in daily operations and while representing the organization.

2) Advocate for credit union products and services based on insights gained from member discussions. Stay informed about all credit union offerings and policies, as well as competitive rates and terms.

3) Facilitate the opening of new accounts and certificates. Assist members with completing applications for Individual Retirement Accounts and Share Certificates.

4) Process new account information, including ordering checks, verifying eligibility, and ensuring proper documentation.

5) Prepare necessary documentation for member services.

6) Assist members with wire transfers and account closures.

7) Address member inquiries and complaints, making necessary corrections and refunds.

8) Ensure accurate loan processing by maintaining thorough documentation and communication with relevant parties.

9) Evaluate and process consumer loan applications, including credit report assessments and debt verification.

10) Communicate loan application statuses to members and provide necessary information.

11) Review and mail delinquency notices as needed.

12) Provide updates to members regarding pending loans and explain denial reasons when applicable.

13) Assist members and Loan Processors with insurance claims related to credit protection.

14) Uphold strict confidentiality regarding member information and adhere to established security protocols.

15) Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.

16) This job description is not exhaustive and may include additional duties as assigned.

17) Must be able to meet physical demands, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications:

Required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 6 months of experience in cash handling or teller roles.

- At least one year of customer service experience.

- Availability during branch hours and willingness to work at different locations as needed.

Preferred:

- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices.

- At least 1 year of experience in cash handling or teller positions.
