JOB SUMMARY:
As a Senior Procurement Agent, you will engage in negotiations with suppliers, reviewing terms and conditions, establishing pricing, formulating contracts, and managing supplier relationships that impact our division.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct precise and timely negotiations with local suppliers based on established category selection criteria, including cost, quality, productivity, and service.
  • Oversee supplier performance monitoring within the division, ensuring compliance with agreements.
  • Collaborate with various teams including Product, DCOs, CMs, FMs, PIMs, RPMs, and Sales.
  • Manage supplier relationships, addressing issues and conflicts related to daily operations.
  • Maintain relevant databases utilized for developing cost and quantity estimates.
  • Verify estimates of costs and quantities of residential products using comparative and differential estimating techniques.
  • Analyze Trade Partner data submissions and manage the impact of commodity fluctuations.
  • Communicate finalized estimates to construction personnel, trade subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop optimization solutions for materials and labor using Value Engineering methodologies.
  • Control trade category costs by employing zone tools and methodologies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of division-specific tools and methodologies for estimating and controlling trade category costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Pulte construction standards, local, state, and national building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Complete necessary customer option estimates.
  • Contribute as a subject matter expert for the Strategic Sourcing Director, if assigned.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a mentor and coach, you will ensure appropriate staffing to meet departmental needs, utilizing recruitment tools to build organizational talent.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • ISCM accreditation preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 3 years related functional experience.
  • At least 6 months to 1 year in a procurement role.
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of the impact of purchasing costs on financial statements.
  • Experience in purchasing and supply chain management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate in a cost-transparent environment.
  • Capability to develop and enhance vendor partnerships.
  • Knowledge of construction processes.
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Expertise in specific categories with the ability to influence and lead others beyond the division and procurement.
