About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Cotton & CO. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert financial analysis and management services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, analyze, and interpret large volumes of financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot complex financial issues and provide short-term and long-term solutions.
  • Review and evaluate financial reporting and accounting transaction processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform audit readiness, budget formulation, and execution tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Apply accounting standards to financial transactions and report to management and clients as appropriate.
  • Supervise and review work performed by team members and interact with management, directors, and partners.
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field with a minimum of 24 hours in accounting coursework and the 150 hours of total coursework required to obtain a CPA license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience performing financial management services, including audit readiness, budget formulation and execution, and/or financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working in or with the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), executing the financial operation, business process improvement, risk management, or internal audit functions.
