Job Description

Position: Business Development Specialist - Mandarin Speaking

About HungryPanda:
HungryPanda is a leading food delivery service headquartered in London, specializing in providing authentic Chinese cuisine and groceries to the Chinese community and international students since 2017.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and onboard new merchants, assisting them in maximizing order volume and gross merchandise value (GMV).
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to negotiate and finalize contracts with prospective merchants.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing merchants, addressing issues and ensuring high satisfaction levels while facilitating smooth business operations.
  • Perform regular visits to merchants, assisting with the application and replacement of merchant materials.
  • Guarantee the timely and effective delivery of solutions tailored to customer requirements and objectives.
  • Continuously update and maintain the backend settings for each assigned merchant.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Delivery Operations teams to align strategies aimed at boosting gross merchandise volume.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Mandarin is essential.
  • Preferred experience in business negotiations, sales, and marketing management.
  • Prior experience in internet-based companies is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in time management and project coordination.
  • High awareness of market trends and data sensitivity.
  • Demonstrated commercial insight and a passion for working with restaurants, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams to enhance business partnerships and independently manage negotiations effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000 - $70,000 per year
