Technical Team Lead

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our Full-Service engineering team at Bright Horizons. As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of technical solutions for Mobile/Web Applications, Application integrations, and Back-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide the selection and implementation of appropriate technologies and Integration patterns to ensure solutions are secure, accurate, performant, maintainable, and aligned with latest industry standards.
- Partner with Product Owners to deeply understand the existing platform architecture, prioritized backlog, and envision how to effectively design and deliver high-value features while reducing technology-related risk and minimizing technical debt.
- Develop and implement business solutions from concept through to production, leveraging your expertise in API development, JavaScript-based frameworks, and NoSQL databases.
- Mentor team members to improve their understanding of good software design practice and implementation strategy.
- Communicate sophisticated technology concepts to non-technical audiences and build consensus and align teams on strategic architectural direction and technical decisions.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of application development experience with large-scale business applications in a fast-paced development environment.
- 5+ years designing, developing, and implementing business solutions from concept through to production.
- 2+ years of Native (Swift/Kotlin) or Hybrid (React Native/Flutter/Angular Ionic) mobile engineering experience working with iOS and Android.
- Solid knowledge of API development using Python to support Mobile and Web Applications.
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript-based frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, with MongoDB experience highly desired.
- Experience designing mobile applications using hybrid frameworks such as Ionic.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies.
- Experience building cloud applications, with GCP experience highly desired.
- Demonstrable ability to break large architectural and implementation problems into logical smaller solutions.
- Ability to define, maintain, and manage architecture models and artifacts.
- Experience designing systems with high security standards, familiarity with common vulnerabilities and attack vectors, and ability to prevent them.
- Ability to influence and persuade Product Owners and team members to support proposed architectural changes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor message to audience.
- Ability to communicate sophisticated technology concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Able to build consensus and align teams on strategic architectural direction and technical decisions.
