Role Overview
The Office Assistant for Intercultural Affairs will play a key role in promoting a campus culture rooted in respect and affirmation.
This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in social justice, diversity, and inclusion, while also developing essential skills for future leadership roles.
Additionally, the Office Assistant will enhance their abilities in administration, event programming, critical analysis, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for Office Assistants who can commit to working between 11am-4:30pm.
Core responsibilities include:
- Event Coordination:
Assist in the organization of programming throughout the academic year, including cultural heritage events and training sessions.
Create and implement marketing materials for various programs.
Manage and curate bulletin boards highlighting heritage months. - Visibility and Outreach:
Act as a representative for the Intercultural Affairs Office at campus-wide events. - Administrative Support:
Collaborate with the Administrative Assistant to ensure smooth office operations.
Manage communications and maintain a welcoming office environment. - Digital Engagement:
Develop and oversee social media strategies and campaigns.
Create engaging content for social media platforms, promoting programs and events.
Enhance follower interaction and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
Design promotional materials for campus-wide initiatives.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Current student at Stonehill College with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and in good standing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in utilizing various social media platforms.
- Experience in facilitating discussions on diversity and leadership.
- Familiarity with event planning and programming.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Exhibit integrity, initiative, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
