Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Critical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a critical member of our Voice and Hardware Systems Engineering operations, you will be responsible for executing, refining, and supervising processes and procedures to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide system-level engineering support for mission-critical IT systems, related telecommunications trunk circuits, voicemail, and telephone instrument units.
- Ensure the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive Tier 2 hardware maintenance.
- Update or create knowledge articles to allow Tier 1 to resolve issues without escalation to Tier 2.
- Perform daily system checks for alerts or degradation of service or system.
- Provide systems engineering support to enterprise voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, including Cisco VoIP phone units, voicemail, and Call Manager System.
- Develop and implement technical solutions through deep analysis and understanding of impact to the end-product/solution.
- Ensure the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive voice systems IT systems engineering.
- Perform incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues in order to restore service.
- Support configuration management and change management activities.
Requirements
- A U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- A current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+).
- Experience performing voice systems engineering on mission-critical systems.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PAY RANGE: $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
