Job Title: Medical Director Physician Clinical Review Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to lead our Physician Clinical Review Team at Oscar Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical review process, ensuring high-quality medical decisions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business strategy.

About the Role

This is a leadership position that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the clinical review process to ensure timely and accurate medical decisions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies
  • Providing clinical guidance and support to physician reviewers
  • Managing direct reports and overseeing their performance
  • Leading key projects and initiatives to drive business growth and improvement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Board certification or eligibility in a relevant medical specialty
  • 10+ years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 3+ years of clinical practice and 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in utilization review and management
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
