- Conduct daily walk-throughs of the banquet floor to promote client satisfaction and quality standards.
- Learn, operate, and train employees on software systems used in events, such as ticketing, retail, inventory, and space usage.
- Assist in managing department controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Manage merchandise inventory, enhancing displays to increase sales.
- Create an atmosphere in all event management operations areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
- Set a positive example for guest relations, interact with guests to obtain feedback, and respond to guest problems and complaints.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service, verify understanding of expectations, and strive to improve service performance.
- Interview, select, and train employees, appraise their productivity and efficiency, and provide for their safety and security.
- High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a related professional area.
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in hospitality or a related major; 1 year of experience in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a comparable professional area.
