Sullivan University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Medical Coding Faculty Member to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction and Assessment of Student Learning: Develop and deliver effective instruction, assess student learning, and provide feedback to students in a variety of learning environments, including face-to-face, online, and hybrid settings.
  • Course Development and Curriculum: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and revise course materials, learning outcomes, and assessments to ensure alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Student Support and Retention: Provide individualized support to students, monitor student progress, and implement strategies to improve student retention and success.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
  • Certifications and Experience: Current Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Based (CCS-P) certification, and 3-5 years of effective online teaching experience in a health service management program, with experience as a biller/coder.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent writing and oral communication skills, leadership, customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
