Job Title: Music Adjunct Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Music Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Jefferson Community & Technical College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Hybrid, Online, or on-campus sections of Music at multiple Jefferson Campuses.

Job Summary:

The Humanities Division has openings for Music instructors who can teach a variety of courses, including Hybrid, Online, and on-campus sections. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Music or a related field and experience teaching Music courses.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Music courses, including Hybrid, Online, and on-campus sections
  • Maintain office hours for mentoring and coaching students
  • Develop and implement success and retention activities
  • Utilize a learning management system such as Blackboard for communication and feedback
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Music or a related field
  • Eighteen graduate hours in the teaching discipline
  • Experience teaching Music courses
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with intersectional, inclusive instruction
  • Ability to incorporate diverse perspectives into teaching and student engagement
  • Experience working with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds
Additional Information:

This is an adjunct pool position, and we will only contact applicants as needed for classes. The successful candidate will be required to work in a culturally diverse environment and have the ability to work with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
