Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other applicable standards.
  • Research and interpret new accounting pronouncements and their impact on financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting standards and changes in reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process by preparing documentation and supporting audit requests.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, preparing necessary adjustments.
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses related to technical accounting issues.
  • Assist in developing and refining accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
  • CPA required.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical accounting or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex accounting concepts clearly.
