Job Summary:

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Tampa General Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care through the performance of diagnostic ultrasound examinations. This is a seasonal position, offering a unique opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced hospital environment while enjoying a higher base pay.

Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in applying ultrasound or diagnostic techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
Ensure the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound/diagnostic procedures.
Perform all procedures according to departmental protocol.

Requirements:

Graduate of a school of Radiation Sciences or Ultrasound Technology.
At least 1 year experience in performing ultrasound procedures or equivalent experience as determined by the Director of Radiology.
ARDMS registered with intent to register in Abdomen, Breast, Vascular, and OB/GYN; BLS certification required.

Population Served:

Pediatric (1-12 years)
Adolescent (13-17 years)
Adult (18-69 years)
Geriatric (70 years and older)

Supervised By:
Director of Radiology
