Job Summary:

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a seasonal contract basis. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during ultrasound procedures.
  • Verify patient identification and procedure orders prior to conducting examinations.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a school of Radiation Sciences or Ultrasound Technology.
  • At least 1 year experience in performing ultrasound procedures or equivalent experience as determined by the Director of Radiology.
  • ARDMS registered with intent to register in Abdomen, Breast, Vascular and OB/GYN; BLS certification required.

Work Schedule:

Shifts will be scheduled on a Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday basis, with hours from 7am to 7pm.
