Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. As a member of our Imaging Team, you will work closely with our medical staff to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders and administer and record dosages as needed.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to provide a positive patient experience.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient information using computerized documentation.
  • Assist with transporting patients as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State License Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification required.
  • Vocational School Graduate required.
