We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals. Your primary responsibility will be to perform these procedures in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner, prioritizing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans.
  • Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians' orders.
  • Administer and record dosages as needed.
  • Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce images of organs on photographic film.
  • Position patients and adjust immobilization devices.
  • Compassionately explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate utilizing computerized documentation.
  • Assist with transporting patients.

Requirements:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • State License Nuclear Medicine.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
  • Vocational School Graduate.
