Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nutrition Service Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our culinary services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food and nutrition services to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Essential Job Functions
  • Ensure the safe and sanitary preparation and serving of food and beverages.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and production sheets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining areas.
  • Restock food and supplies as needed.
  • Deliver food and beverages to patients and staff in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or unsafe work conditions to the supervisor.
Specialty Functions
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and production sheets.
  • Maintain records for production area, including production and usage numbers, yields, and overproduction/leftovers.
  • Follow proper cooking techniques and methods, including weighing, mixing, measuring, cutting, and combining ingredients.
  • Operate and utilize a variety of manual, electrical, and gas cooking equipment and utensils.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
