Job Description

Stabilus, a global leader in hydro-pneumatic adjustment elements, is seeking a skilled Market Segment Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability in the Home, Recreation and Office Furniture market segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Identify and develop key USPs for the market segment
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market conditions for current and future periods
  • Prioritize opportunities and direct sales initiatives for new business closure
  • Develop product portfolio requirements to maximize market growth
  • Build market intelligence about customers, competitors, and market requirements
  • Support operational planning and investment with accurate business cases
  • Maintain current and comprehensive competitor situation and benchmarking information
  • Lead program management methodology for all new business development
  • Manage commercial relationships with key accounts

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Business or a technical field; MBA preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of technical selling experience in the medical equipment, recreational vehicle, or home/office furniture manufacturing sectors
  • Software skills: SAP (optional), Word, Excel, and Access
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and customers
  • Supervisor skills: intermediate level
  • Initiative: advanced

Working Conditions:

  • Work from office/home
  • Customer visits required
  • 30-40% travel expected

Accountability:

  • Accountability: the activities of the Market Segment Manager contribute to the overall success of the company in optimizing sales through purchasing and marketing programs
  • Impact of errors: the associate in this position is required to make independent decisions of a critical nature relating to sales
  • Confidential data: access to proprietary product designs, company proprietary processes, and strategic planning information
