Job Overview

Position Summary:

This role is essential for ensuring a consistently high level of cleanliness across designated areas of responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts a range of cleaning activities, including but not limited to dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing, in accordance with departmental standards and protocols. Daily planning of these tasks is essential.
  • Manages inventory, restocking, and replenishing essential supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and hand soap in all assigned areas of the facility.
  • Ensures the cleanliness of departmental equipment and promptly informs relevant personnel when repairs are needed, while safeguarding equipment through proper usage.
  • May undertake special assignments such as window and wall cleaning.
  • Addresses inquiries and requests from guests, aiming to provide exceptional service.
  • This position operates under regular supervision and is responsible for specific areas, which may include various locations within the organization.
  • Must be adept with the organization's work order management system.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with established OSHA regulations and organizational policies, procedures, and applicable professional standards.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be capable of standing, climbing, stooping, and bending frequently; this role involves significant physical activity.

May need to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to withstand exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, including toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and heights.

Protective eyewear and clothing must be worn as required.

Travel to various locations may be necessary.

Effective communication skills are required, including the ability to read, write, and speak clearly in person, via radio, or telephone.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team without constant supervision.

Must be capable of interpreting and responding to both verbal and written instructions.

Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and instructions for the use of cleaning chemicals, as well as complete chemical identification labels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience in a similar role and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning methodologies is advantageous.
