The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions accurately; coordinating with clients or logistics partners for payment processing; and handling international and specialized transactions through online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Employ established quality control measures to guarantee the precision and integrity of each transaction.
- Prepare and label financial documents according to client specifications.
- Manage and process exceptional transactions that cannot be handled through standard systems using online resources.
- Utilize financial software for transaction processing as required.
- Handle packages weighing up to 45 pounds regularly and maneuver carts or pallets as necessary.
- Return incomplete transactions to the originating department when quantities are insufficient.
- Adjust transactions that require modifications in the management system.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding any inquiries related to payment requirements or arrangements.
- Scan and track financial documents entering the department.
- Move completed financial packages onto processing lines or load them onto pallets throughout the day, using manual equipment to transport heavy loads.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional specialized training is a plus.
- Understanding of financial principles in one or more areas; typically requires 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to perform specific tasks that are moderate in size and complexity.
- Capable of reading and understanding simple instructions; able to create and interpret basic correspondence.
- Effective communication skills for presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Basic knowledge of computer operations.
- This role involves interaction with the finance team, colleagues from other departments, clients, and management.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
- Regular exposure to a manufacturing setting with potential unpleasant or hazardous conditions, including dust, noise, and chemicals.
- Frequent walking, standing, grasping, reaching, pushing/pulling, bending, and manual dexterity required for extended periods.
- Regularly required to hear, speak, and utilize color vision.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
