Flagstar Bank is seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Reporting Governance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial regulatory reporting and at least 12 years of experience in the financial services industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust governance framework to support periodic processing and reporting of required financial regulatory reports to the Federal Reserve Bank. This includes leading processes and projects in direct support of the Director of Regulatory Reporting, overseeing a team of individuals responsible for project management, CFO Attestation, and policy and controls documentation, and communicating with senior management and external stakeholders.

The estimated salary for this position is $140,621.69-$232,025.80 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • An undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in regulatory reporting or related fields within the financial services industry
  • A minimum of 6 years of leadership experience

Preferred qualifications include certification as a Certified Public Accountant and/or experience with Federal Reserve Bank regulatory reporting.
