Position Overview
The Government Affairs Compliance Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Management of Government Affairs (MGA) with various compliance tasks, including the completion of Letters of Investigation (LOI) and Voluntary Disclosure Reports (VDR), as well as reviews of the Airworthiness Manual for SAI elements.

Key Responsibilities
This position involves:

  • Assisting Quality Department Managers in enhancing and revising manuals to ensure that SAI attributes are adequately represented.
  • Reviewing the FAA registry for proposed rule changes and evaluating their potential impact on Allegiant Airlines.
  • Coordinating due dates for governmental responses related to airworthiness issues.
  • Processing FAA requests, including log pages, flight schedules, and work orders, and providing necessary documentation to the FAA.
  • Overseeing the completion of corrective actions related to LOI and VDR to ensure compliance.
  • Investigating informal FAA concerns regarding operational manuals.
  • Conducting daily reviews of the FAA registry for items that may affect fleet operations.
  • Tracking FAA geographical inspections reported at Allegiant stations or maintenance providers.
  • Supporting the MGA in completing investigations and responses related to LOIs and VDRs.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands and work environment for this role include the ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate office equipment. The role may require lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 20 lbs and working various shifts in a 24-hour environment.
