At The Charter School for Law and Social Justice, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our school leadership team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in operations management, particularly in an educational or non-profit setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily school operations, collaborating with the Executive Director and Principal to ensure the school runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead the Operations Team to implement efficient processes and systems, ensuring compliance with charter requirements, state regulations, and school policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with facilities vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services and products.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the organization and NYCDOE staff overseeing school food, bussing, and other services.
  • Manage student enrollment, including recruitment, application tracking, and lottery procedures, ensuring accurate collection and maintenance of student data and compliance with state requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in operations management.
  • NYS Fingerprint Clearance.
  • Certification: W-07 and Food Handler.
  • Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as ATS, PowerSchool, Schoolmint, Parent Square, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a school or non-traditional educational setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and resourcefully.
  • Commitment to professional growth and a strong interest in supporting academic achievement.
